INNOVACC creates the awards for technological innovation in the pig meat sector

The cluster of Catalan pig meat sector has created the INNOVACC awards for Technological Innovation in the pig meat sector. This way the company wants to encourage projects in the Catalan educational area for the pig meat sector. It is focused on projects developed during the course 2016-2017.

INNOVACC, The Catalan Association of pig meat sector, launches the awards for technological innovation in the pig meat sector to stimulate the creation of projects aimed at this sector and involving a tangible and applicable technological innovation.
In this award can participate Baccalaureate students, professional training and universities that are in the final year of studies during the period 2016-2017, and that they are preparing the final cycle/degree project. The award will assess the inventiveness of the students and the effort made from schools. The award is 10.000 €,  50% for the student and 50% for the Department / tutor that have been made the project. the possibility of formalizing a training work contract in a company in the Catalan pig meat sector. Projects can be either principal chain value of porcine (farms, slaughterhouses, cutting plants, processors of meat products) and all auxiliary services (genetics, feed, additives, machinery, automation, hygiene solutions, packaging, logistics , energy, waste and by-products, etc.).

The projects can be presented until July 15, 2017. The communication of finalists winner / of the award will take place at the end of next year.  This year will be held the first edition of the awards but INNOVACC hopes to give continuity to the awards and also from the education sector, technological innovation in the pig meat sector.
