The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, through the Ministry of Agriculture of Beijing and the General Directorate of Health of Agricultural Production, participates in the First Sino-Spanish Technical Seminar on Registration, Processing and Product Control Which takes place in the city of Kunming on 30 November and 1 December. A seminar also attended by members of the certification and control authorities of the Chinese administration (CNCA) and the Interprofessional Organization of white pig (Interporc), as well as representatives of various Spanish and Xinesan meat companies.
The purpose of this forum is to promote and consolidate cooperation between authorities and companies in both countries, as well as to exchange know-how among the participating companies, in order to strengthen commercial relations in a stable and lasting manner.
During the two days of work, will deal with aspects related to the control and accreditation systems of agri-food companies that export pork products in China; Will explain the pork production model in Spain, the Spanish traceability system and the structure of our meat production industry. In addition, technical topics on the elaboration, technology and control of Spanish cured meat products have been included, which will be announced and the export could be expanded in the negotiations with this country.
EXTENSION OF AUTHORIZED EXPORT COMPANIES
In the framework of this meeting and the good relations between the administrations of both countries, the Chinese authorities of the CNCA have notified the authorization of two new Spanish companies for the export of pig products in China, which will be published shortly on page Web site of the Ministry, and the extension of the products to be exported from another Spanish meat company, which will be 28 companies that will currently be authorized for export to the Asian country.
Spain is the second largest producer of pork products in the European Union (behind Germany) and the third largest exporter of these products in China (after the US and Germany).
Exports of pork products in China have multiplied in 2016, currently more than double the amount exported in the same period of the previous year, and up to September we exported more than 316,000 tonnes, worth 581 million tonnes. Euros.
