Pork production alternatives for the production of organic pork meat

Main objectives of the project:

The production of organic and / or antibiotic-free pork in Catalonia is small and does not meet the growing potential demand of both fresh meat and raw material to be processed. On the other hand, and even if it is a paradox, conventional swine production presents a situation of over supply that makes difficult the continuity of many farms. The aim is to assess the economic feasibility of producing organic and / or antibiotic-free pork in Catalonia and the possibilities of converting some of the current holdings into this delicatessen system.
