Valorization of brine (saturated salt water) in cured ham processing companies

Main objectives of the project:Companies that make cured ham have the need to reduce the conductivity of the waste water they generate. At the same time, possible ways of valorizing by-products that can be separated, and the energy performance of the treatment process are considered. A study is planned to determine the best treatment strategies for brines, the technical and economic viability of the solutions proposed, and a pilot test.
