Before the end of the year, on December 21, the General Assembly of INNOVACC members was held electronically with the participation of 50 people.
During the first part of the event, a review was made of the main activities carried out by INNOVACC during the last semester of the year.
- The president of INNOVACC, Esteve Espuña, welcomed the new partners (MOLspaces, Ardex Cemento, Zyrcular Foods) and explained that on November 5, 2020, the 4-year renewal of INNOVACC had been achieved as AEI (Innovative Business Group of the Ministry of Industry).
- Eudald Casas, summarized the entity’s participation in various conferences and meetings: such as the Energy Innovation Day of Oct 8, 2020 (organized by the Cluster of Efficient Energy of Catalonia); the agri-food waste workshop or the European QUALIFY project sessions (organized by DARP); meetings with Raúl Blanco (Secretary General for Industry and SMEs) and Jordi Llinares (Deputy Director General for Digitization of Industry and Collaborative Environments); the conference organized by INNOVACC on 25-Nov-2020 on “possible risks for the meat sector due to ASF”; the conference on “fake news in the field of food” on 10/10/2020 (organized by the UdG). He also recalled that the call for the INNOVACC Award for technological innovation in the meat sector is open, 5th edition that incorporates a new category called “Promotion of the meat culture Award”.
- Mariona Pratdesaba and Júlia Sala, explained the main novelties of the projects under development within the cluster, and showed the latest projects for which help has been requested. They also encouraged all partners to propose new projects and activities within the cluster, for 2021.
- The attendees approved the entity’s budget for 2021, which foresees expenses of approximately € 240,000, with total income of the same amount. As a novelty, the budget foresees the incorporation of a fifth person working at INNOVACC, due to the number of partners and the large number of R & D & I projects that are being coordinated from the cluster, and in view of the forecast of new projects for 2021 and following years.
