Awards were given to the most active companies in the cluster for the years 2022-2023.
This Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the 1st INNOVACC NIGHT was held at the Mas Batlle restaurant in Girona.
A celebration of the Catalan meat and alternative protein sector, which brought together 130 people from companies
and institutions associated with the INNOVACC cluster.
The event was hosted by presenter Helena Garcia Melero and broadcast live on a giant screen
located in the estate's gardens.
In a relaxed atmosphere, attendees were able to enjoy three showcooking spaces and seven tasting points
for various high-quality products.
The Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods Group cooked and presented the “grilled pork fillet with wok-fried
vegetables and ximixurri sauce”, “the vegan chorizo-style sausage with boiled potato and truffle and strain sauce”, and the “vegan burger, with charly tomato, caramelized onion, with truffle sauce and spinach sauce” with the AGAR chefs.
The company Torrent i Fills and its chefs Mercè Castillo and Jaume Torrent, prepared and explained “the appetizer
Chicken snack with kimchi sauce”, the “bao bread with shredded chicken” and the “classic chicken pie”
chicken with almonds”.
The last showcooking was carried out by the company La Musona of the Gepork Group, with the chef
Nandu Jubany, who prepared and presented the “stewed veal tail”, the “grilled Angus veal steak”
and the “brava hamburger”.
The products to be tasted were: 100% Iberian La Joya Ham (Patel – Vall Companys); Poached country egg
(Liderou); Sendra sausage (Splendid Foods); Noble Olot whip (Spain); White Bull and Black Bull Gamma
nature – sausages from Bages (MAFRICA); Extra cooked ham (La Selva); Delizias petals cooked ham (Noel).
Subsequently, the INNOVACC 2022-2023 AWARDS were presented to the most active companies
in the cluster during this period.
The awards were presented by the Honourable Mr. David Mascort, Councillor for Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda
Ms. Vanessa Peiró, deputy of the Gerona Provincial Council; mr. Carmel Mòdol, Secretary of Food
of the Generalitat of Catalonia; and Mr. Joan Gòdia, General Director of companies
Agro-food, of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

After the awards ceremony, there was a dinner, and the party was closed with the ambiance of DJ ABADIA, an example of overcoming the challenge of Adrià Abadia, a boy with cerebral palsy, who made the attendees dance and enjoy his music.
