AWEC is a start-up of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, formed by a team of veterinarians/researchers with recognized experience in animal welfare.

By improving animal welfare, AWEC aims to contribute to the sustainability of livestock production, the relationship between people and animals and the conservation of biodiversity. AWEC organizes courses, workshops, webinars and offers a wide variety of technical publications, based on scientific knowledge and with a practical approach. Likewise, AWEC offers scientific-technical advice and an innovation and research service to improve animal welfare.
