UAB has 226 research groups, 57 departments, 45 institutes and centers and five hospitals, which have an intense research activity internationally recognized. UAB leads the production of doctoral theses in Catalonia. Commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship and promotes the transfer of knowledge, working closely with the business and scientific environment, as the Barcelona Synchrotron Park.
