Project approved online for AEI 2023 aid.

In the AEI2022b call, the “PHASE 1. Predictive calculation of energy in ingredients for pig feed”. While in the AEI2023 call, the “PHASE 2. Optimization of the tool for the predictive calculation of energy in ingredients for pig feed.”

The project consists of expanding the number and types of ingredients and the analysis and development of possible massive data loading methods that facilitate the validation of the designed tool (Phase 1) for the predictive calculation of metabolizable energy (ME) and clean energy (EN) for different ingredients used in feed, both for breeding sows and growing pigs. In this Phase 2, the results of the formula (composition and cost), the quality of the manufactured feed and the productive performance of pigs that receive isoenergetic feed formulated with raw materials whose energy content is obtained either with the methodology used by a collaborating company or good with the new tool.

The main objective of the project is the expansion of the tool started in Phase 1 and the expansion of the prediction equations and algorithms for ingredients not studied in Phase 1 and that this allows the optimization of raw materials used as ingredients in production. of feed in pig production.

It should be noted that it is an intercluster project, where INNOVACC (coordinator) and the Spanish Cluster of Pig Livestock Producers (i+Porc), will work to disseminate the project among their associates in order to provide tools to improve the competitiveness of the sector.
